Coham Manor is a family home set in the quiet countryside of North Devon and sandwiched between the market towns of Hatherleigh & Holsworthy.
Coham Manor is a family home set in the quiet countryside of North Devon and sandwiched between the market towns of Hatherleigh & Holsworthy. All visitors are encouraged to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere when they stay with the Coham-MacLaren's, there's no formality here! The house is set in 1200 acres of agricultural land, within 500 yards of the glorious river Torridge and only minutes walk from the picturesque village of Black Torrington, where the Reverend Jack Russell bred his famous dogs.
The house has a stunning entrance hall with an enormous carved fireplace and a beautiful Victorian tiled floor. The drawing room has an open log fire and the Billiard room has a three quarter sized snooker table - available to be enjoyed by all our guests. Each Guest bedroom is large, the principal room has twin beds, en-suite with views over the woods and garden. The other room, a twin also has magnificent views over the property and has an attractive bathroom.
There is much to do in Devon and if you want you can visit a different attraction every day. The local area provides many long and beautiful walks along the river Torridge and the Torridge valley. For the country lover there are few rivers in Southern England that offer the unspoilt timeless tranquillity of the upper Torridge as it meanders through pasture and wooded valleys. You can stay on the estate (which covers 1000 acres) or roam further through continuous unspoilt countryside taking in the bracing air from the North Atlantic, or strolling the hills and dales on Dartmoor. And golf for those who want to play, there are golf courses at Holsworthy, Okehampton, Bude, Westward Hoe, Saunton and Mortonhampstead. We are a 20 minute drive from the RHS gardens at Rose Moor, Torrington and less than an hour and a half from Heligan and the Eden Project.
